DIY Fabric Wrapped Bracelets!
Good Tuesday morning,
First, "It is going to SNOW in South Georgia"...that is me slightly screaming...lol! I do not believe it has snowed here since 1989...my middle daughter was just a little over 1 and she is now 25! I have to admit, I'm little afraid if we do get any accumulation of snow that the folks that live down here who have never driven in this type of weather will try and get out and sight see!!
But, as to these fabulous bracelets...first, I have to give a huge shout out to Natalie at cremedelacrafts.com. I first saw these on a blog party and I'm sorry to say, I have forgotten which one, as there are so many wonderful blog parties out there. But, these were so easy to make.
Basically, I didn't have to buy anything to do this project, as I already had everything that I needed. Here is what I did...I took floral wire I had bought at Dollar Tree...I cut a piece that would fit around my wrist with a little extra, as you take your needle nose pliers and twist around the end of wire. Then I took different strips of cloth I had on hand.....tie one end of the cloth and make a knot and leave about one inch sticking out....then wrap until the wire is covered. Tie the end off when done, and BAM, you have the cutest bracelet!
I just love these and I have so many different types of cloth, the combinations for me are almost endless....these are my first ones I did and they need tweaking but I think they are so cute!
Where ever you are stay warm and safe!
Blessings,
Deborah
Love your bracelets, think my two teenage g-daughters will love them also. The guys might even like them. I see lots of guys wearing bracelets. We have 2 teenage g-sons also so might make them a couple. Have to find out how big their wrists are, they're getting to be young men.
ReplyDeleteThese bracelets can be made so versatile with many kinds of fabric and needs so little to make. Great post, glad I found you on Hit Me With your best shot party. Love your self portrait. Happy week
I bet they all would love them. I had one of my daughters ask for one in more manly colors, so yes, I think the guys would like them also.

ReplyDeleteYana, I used heavy duty floral wire...they always have it at the Dollar Tree....I wear all 4 of mine everyday....when I look down and they are a little bit bent....I just pull on them and make them round again...lol. very easy
