My First Sock Monkey Attempt....lol

Okay, I really, really LOVE sock monkeys! I always have. So, I started looking on the Internet and you tube, and craft blogs finding video's on how to make them.
Of, course since I don't have a sewing machine that works right now, that was added stress on IF I could make one or not.

So, after reading through many sites, I realized I could hand sew one....even if my carpal tunnel killed me, I wanted to try.

It took some time, as the carpal tunnel did act up, and I had to stop and start more times that I wanted to, but....I made one. I have laughed over how it turned out so much that my sides are aching....I think it looks like a Cheshire Cat....lol.....but had alot of fun making it.

Signs, Signs, Holiday Signs Everywhere!

Gosh, it is almost Thanksgiving and wonderful food and great family time! I can't wait! But, while waiting I've been working on holiday signs to sell at a very large holiday craft show coming up December 6th and 7th.....

So, without further adieu, I'm spreading the Christmas Spirit and humor:




These have been sprayed with their sealant spray, but I haven't put their bows and strings on yet,but, I think they turned out great! Working on more, as I type, can't wait to share them with ya'll!

Biscuit Pull-a-part Surprise! YUMMY!

Wow, I'm on a roll.....two post in two days! I'm bacccck....and I'm a cooking! 
 First, I have to give a a Shout Out to Amy over at www.ohbiteit.com......while I was scrolling through blog post I had missed over the past couple weeks of my "down time", I discovered her blog....she has some wonderfully sounding recipes, and one caught my eye....
It is a very easy recipe using canned biscuits, cheese, and a little butter! I don't know about ya'll...but, down south, anything with butter is great!
Basically, you can use a cake pan, or as I used today, a small, glass, square dish....I pre-heated the oven to 350. I melted a half a stick of butter in the dish....just cut that stick of butter in half, drop it in the dish, slide it in the over, and let it melt.
I then took 2 cans of canned biscuits and opened them and set all the dough on my counter.  I cut a big chunk of cheese from my sharp cheddar block I had in fridge....and cut it into small pieces.
