I Love Old Windows!

I love old vintage wooden windows! Years ago, way before I even thought about making jewelry, crafting, or teaching myself how to paint, I would go to art shows, craft shows, and I was always drawn to the booths that had paintings on old, wooden, vintage windows. I would stand and look at them and think, Oh, I wish I could do that! Or, how talented that person was....or, how I wish I could afford to buy one.

Of course, the artist who had painted on these were true artists and their paintings were magnificent! But, then one day after my "crafting journey" had begun and I was slowly realizing that I did have a "talented bone in my body" I bought a old window. I had created a "cartoon character" of myself....a little short, chunky, red haired woman called Ms. Lucy....and yes, I'm short, chunky, red haired woman...lol

Anyway, I decided to draw her on a window, and it turned out pretty good, if I say so myself....and now almost two years later, I've painted several....so, I decided I would share some of them with you....now, I'm self taught....my paintings will never be in a museum....but, I love doing them...

I hope you enjoy them.

Blessings,
Deborah

  3. Vintage windows are so much fun. My mother owns a glass shop and they get quite a few from retrofit jobs! She always has customers coming in asking for them for art projects and decorating!
