Christmas Wine Glass Candle Holders!

I know....it isn't even Halloween yet, and here I am writing about Christmas! The decorations are already in every store you go into...the Dollar Store.....Wal-Mart.....even the groceries stores!

But, I have a huge Christmas Craft Show coming up so, I've been very busy making items to sell at the show. Now, this post isn't for you to buy anything. This is about the cutest and easiest gift or decoration to make during the holiday season. I bought several $1.00 wine glasses from The Dollar Tree. I, also, at that time, purchased several battery operated tea lights to place on the top of each candle holder. Of, course, you could use a regular candle, but, these are so cute, I wouldn't want to have the wax dripping on the holder.

I used plain old acrylic paint, since these were not going to be drank from. First, step was to choose design, then I painted the inside of each glass my base color. After that dried, I painted the outside design and let the dry for 24 hours. I then placed them into a cold oven, set temp at 350, and when temp was reached, I then let them bake for 30 more minutes. I then let them cool and set for 24 hours, or over night , would be fine also.

I then used my paint sealant, sprayed them outside and let dry outside also. Voila!

I'm really excited how cute these turned out. As, I said, these would make great gifts for some friend during the holidays, or just for your own family.
Blessings,
Deborah

    1. Kate, I'm so glad you liked them, because I would never have noticed these "ghosts" were supposed to be snowmen, but, I had forgotten to paint the noses on.....lol. I went back and added the noses and updated the pics!

    1. Audrey, in 2008 when I had my accident and became disabled, I had to find a way to supplement my income. I just basically sat down and talk myself how to paint....make jewelry...etc. I've just learned more over the years. If I can do it, anybody can. Thanks.
