Re-Working The Past!

Happy Hump Day Evening to Everyone,

 Wow, again it has been a while since I posted....but, spending time with my family and dealing with my horrible Fibromyalgia.....and Peripheral Neuropathy in my hands, arms, and feet has also been a New Big Thingy added to the "pool of life"....BUT, that is okay....I'm glad to be back!

 So, cleaning out my craft closet and cabinet, I found two necklaces I had made a while back and decided to re-work them. I added a crystal heart toggle clasp to both of them. I added more beautiful, sumptuous clumps of red coral on the white turquoise necklace....which just sets it off GRANDLY!

 And, then, on the the square chunk turquoise necklace I added more silver beads....and I think they are both beautiful!
Adding a larger silver bead really sets this off!
I wish you could see the crystals better


Adding more red coral pieces just gives this bohemian flair!

I wish I could have had my sister take the pics, as her camera is so much better than mine....but, I hope you can see the details.....

Good Sunday Evening Everyone, Well, if you have ever visited my Pinterest boards, you know that I love Bohemian ANYTHING! The colors.....the clothes.....the furniture.....I'm an "ole hippie", what do you expect! I have seen so many things online, from clothes to jewelry, that have touched my bohemian soul, but, of course, for the most part, I can not afford to buy what I like. So, I resort to learning how to make it instead, and recently, I had seen these zip tie bracelets and just didn't think they would turn out like the pictures, but they did! Easy Peazy! You will need the large zip ties, your jewelry making tools, strips of cloth, jewelry wire and scotch tape. Yes, scotch tape! I took a zip tie and made a circle to measure the size of my wrist, but then just added a "smidgen"and then cut off the end of the zip tie and taped the circle together. Everyone Loves Watermelon....Right?

Good Monday Evening Everyone, Wow, can you believe that it is already the 6th of May??? I can't.....it seems like it was just yesterday that I  moved into my new home in February! But, I'm not complaining...especially after all the rain we got last week, the Sun was out today....there was a nice breeze blowing....and I had breakfast with my 2 daughters this morning, and my 4 1/2 month old grandson! It was wonderful, and I knew Summer is on it's way! When I was growing up, one of my favorite times of the Summer was when you could see all the watermelons for sale, and my Daddy loved him some watermelon! He would go to the local little farmer's stand where all his buddies whom were farmers were selling fresh local produce. He would load up the car with watermelons and come home. We would ice them down in a cooler that morning and then he would make us go outside to play! So, the water hoses were brought out and slung over a tree branch.....water sprinklers were set  ...

The Lady with Blue Eyes...New Folk Art Painting

Good Friday Evening Everyone, Wow, it has been an absolutely beautiful day down here in rural South Georgia in my hometown of Waycross. The Sun has been shinning most of the day.....a soft, gentle breeze has been whispering through the pines.....just an all around great day..... and what better time for me to premiere my newest, and I think my best, folk art painting. I had this idea in my head for along time....I wanted her to be a little whimsy.....slightly "hippieish".... magical....secretive.....and special. I used both acrylic and oil painting....I had an old frame in my craft closet....and decided to glue the frame to the mat.
