SQUARED exclusively by ME!!!!

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

 So, as some of you know, as I have posted pics before, I'm making purses out of burlap! I love the stuff! I can't help myself....I think it comes from when I used to own my coffee shops and coffee companies would send me some of their left-over huge burlap coffee bags. I would hang them all around the walls in the shop, and it gave the place a very unique feel.
          

 And, being the Purse Queen in my family.....I mean I literally run to the purse section of any store I enter! Being that I can not afford a new purse every time the urge hits, I decided to combine my title of Purse Queen with my love of burlap.


 With that in mind, I got my hands on every piece of burlap I could find....got the glue gun, yes, I said glue gun....as I have no sewing machine....but do have a heavy duty glue gun.....very strong glue....and well, SQUARED was born! I hope to continue making these unique, burlap, square purse/totes which are wonderful for using as a purse or a tote bag for traveling or even taking to the grocery store. here are the new pics of the new totes:

Good Sunday Evening Everyone, Well, if you have ever visited my Pinterest boards, you know that I love Bohemian ANYTHING! The colors.....the clothes.....the furniture.....I'm an "ole hippie", what do you expect! You will need the large zip ties, your jewelry making tools, strips of cloth, jewelry wire and scotch tape. Yes, scotch tape! I took a zip tie and made a circle to measure the size of my wrist, but then just added a "smidgen"and then cut off the end of the zip tie and taped the circle together. Everyone Loves Watermelon....Right?

Good Monday Evening Everyone, Wow, can you believe that it is already the 6th of May??? I can't.....it seems like it was just yesterday that I  moved into my new home in February! But, I'm not complaining...especially after all the rain we got last week, the Sun was out today....there was a nice breeze blowing....and I had breakfast with my 2 daughters this morning, and my 4 1/2 month old grandson! It was wonderful, and I knew Summer is on it's way! When I was growing up, one of my favorite times of the Summer was when you could see all the watermelons for sale, and my Daddy loved him some watermelon! He would go to the local little farmer's stand where all his buddies whom were farmers were selling fresh local produce. He would load up the car with watermelons and come home. We would ice them down in a cooler that morning and then he would make us go outside to play! So, the water hoses were brought out and slung over a tree branch.....water sprinklers were set  ...

The Lady with Blue Eyes...New Folk Art Painting

Good Friday Evening Everyone, Wow, it has been an absolutely beautiful day down here in rural South Georgia in my hometown of Waycross. The Sun has been shinning most of the day.....a soft, gentle breeze has been whispering through the pines.....just an all around great day..... and what better time for me to premiere my newest, and I think my best, folk art painting. I had this idea in my head for along time....I wanted her to be a little whimsy.....slightly "hippieish".... magical....secretive.....and special. I used both acrylic and oil painting....I had an old frame in my craft closet....and decided to glue the frame to the mat.
