Sunshine and Flowers! Just For You!

Greetings Everyone,

 Wow, it has been a beautiful day here in rural South Georgia. We did have a mild frost this morning, but this afternoon has turned gorgeous....this is the type of day that reminds me of Spring. The glorious Sun is shinning, with a gentle breeze blowing, have a few Azaleas blooming....wow, just a great day t o be alive.

 So, as I was sitting outside this morning enjoying the early morning Sun breaking through to let me know He was still there, I decided to pull the camera out. I love Suns!!! I have several in my home. One is a rather huge one that I found at a road side stand years ago....it had been painted an ugly rust color, so, I painted Him a brilliant turquoise blue, cause  you know turquoise if my favorite color!

 The other one I have hanging in my home is made out of terra-cotta....and I painted him colors of pink and peach with some glitter thrown in for good measure....he is rather cheery looking. Then, I have one hanging in the beautiful Blooming Pear Tree in the front yard. i found him at a yard sale, and again,  felt that he needed a face lift also....so, he became a bright and jolly yellow with a big red smile, and I see him everyday when I pull up.

 While, I was outside, I noticed we had the cutest tangerine colored Azaleas blooming and took a couple shot of those....so, I wanted to share my Suns and my Azaleas with you....I hope you enjoy!

    I'm so glad you brought these suns and azaleas to Treasure Box Tuesday!! My quince bushes had burst into bloom and the daffodils were up.....and then we had a hard freeze night before last. Your suns encourage me to keep looking for Spring! ♥

Good Sunday Evening Everyone, Well, if you have ever visited my Pinterest boards, you know that I love Bohemian ANYTHING! The colors.....the clothes.....the furniture.....I'm an "ole hippie", what do you expect! I have seen so many things online, from clothes to jewelry, that have touched my bohemian soul, but, of course, for the most part, I can not afford to buy what I like. So, I resort to learning how to make it instead, and recently, I had seen these zip tie bracelets and just didn't think they would turn out like the pictures, but they did! Easy Peazy! You will need the large zip ties, your jewelry making tools, strips of cloth, jewelry wire and scotch tape. Yes, scotch tape! I took a zip tie and made a circle to measure the size of my wrist, but then just added a "smidgen"and then cut off the end of the zip tie and taped the circle together. Everyone Loves Watermelon....Right?

Good Monday Evening Everyone, Wow, can you believe that it is already the 6th of May??? I can't.....it seems like it was just yesterday that I  moved into my new home in February! But, I'm not complaining...especially after all the rain we got last week, the Sun was out today....there was a nice breeze blowing....and I had breakfast with my 2 daughters this morning, and my 4 1/2 month old grandson! It was wonderful, and I knew Summer is on it's way! When I was growing up, one of my favorite times of the Summer was when you could see all the watermelons for sale, and my Daddy loved him some watermelon! He would go to the local little farmer's stand where all his buddies whom were farmers were selling fresh local produce. He would load up the car with watermelons and come home. We would ice them down in a cooler that morning and then he would make us go outside to play! So, the water hoses were brought out and slung over a tree branch.....water sprinklers were set

The Lady with Blue Eyes...New Folk Art Painting

Good Friday Evening Everyone, Wow, it has been an absolutely beautiful day down here in rural South Georgia in my hometown of Waycross. The Sun has been shinning most of the day.....a soft, gentle breeze has been whispering through the pines.....just an all around great day..... and what better time for me to premiere my newest, and I think my best, folk art painting. I had this idea in my head for along time....I wanted her to be a little whimsy.....slightly "hippieish".... magical....secretive.....and special. I used both acrylic and oil painting....I had an old frame in my craft closet....and decided to glue the frame to the mat.
